Cade Frey Construction was the low bidder Tuesday at $324,407 for construction of a six-inch gas transmission line to serve the new industrial park and the port.

Other bidders included Womack & Sons Construction Group of Harrisonburg, $399,366.80; Camo Construction of Vidalia, $419,185; and Feliciana Welders, $422,180.

Work includes construction of a six-inch gas line along La. 131 and D.A. Biglane Road, and the addition of a regulator manifold at the La. 131 tie-in-location.

Bryant Hammett and Associates is project engineer for the work.
