March Golden Broom

THE MARCH Golden Broom was presented to Ferriday High School, from left, Ricky Collins, asset. principal, Terry Brown, custodian, Oscar Stewart, janitor, Emma Houston, janitor and Quentin Calhoun, principal. The Ferriday Garden Club judges were amazed that with all the rain the business and civic properties of our town were so well maintained.  Ferriday High School was the overall winner.  The campus was free of litter and was neat and groomed.  Evidently students are being encouraged to keep a litter free school and it shows. Most improved went to the Circle K on  E.E. Wallace for the absence of litter on a very busy intersection.  Honorable Mention went to Turner Collision, again, for being litter free.  Congratulations to the school and these merchants.
