During the month of February, Concordia Parish Fire Protection District No. 2 responded to six accidents, seven fires, 10 emergency calls and one fire alarm.
Fire chief Nolen Cothren reported the figures during a recent meeting of the district board.
Cothren said the department has received a quote of $29,430 from BGS for new bunker gear and $10,350 for new rescue equipment.
He additionally reported that he is continuing work on a PIAL (Property Insurance Association of Louisiana) rating for Ridgecrest.
Additionally, Cothren said four employees attended Firefighter 2 classes and First Responder classes held at the Ball Fire Department.
