Carol Viola Bowman

Funeral services for Carol Viola Bowman will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at Sicily Island First Baptist Church of Sicily Island with Rev. Kevin Bates and Rev. Mike Devillier officiating. Interment will follow in Oakley Cemetery, Gilbert, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Ms. Bowman, 60, of Waterproof, entered eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at her daughter's residence. She was born Dec. 30, 1953.

Carol was a member of Sicily Island First Baptist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday School Class. She was a retired secretary. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ms. Bowman is preceded in death by her father, John Bowman Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Beatrice and Claude Albert Lee; her paternal grandparents, Annabelle and William Homer Bowman; and her brother, Ronnie Bowman.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her mother, Bonnie Lee Bowman of Waterproof; one daughter, Keisha Hutto and her husband Paul of Winnsboro; one sister, Tammy Price and her husband Steven of Sicily Island; one brother, John Bowman Jr. and his wife Teresa of Sicily Island; two grandchildren, Makenzie Hutto and Kendall Hutto, both of Winnsboro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends may call at Sicily Island First Baptist Church on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, from 12 noon until time of service.

Jenny Berry Head

Jenny Berry Head, 87, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. She was a retired Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Corrections in Baton Rouge.

Mrs. Head was born November 12, 1931.

Funeral services for Susan Ferrell Ogle, 60, of Vidalia, who passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at her residence, were held Monday February 18, 2019, at Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday. Susan was born on January 27, 1959 in Bastrop, to Buddy and Janice Ferrell.

Theresa Pullon

Funeral services for Theresa Pullon, 88, of Ferriday, were held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Saint Patrick Catholic Church Father John Pardue. Interment followed at Natchez City Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Theresa Pullon was born on Monday, September 22, 1930 in Ferriday and passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Columns Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Pullon; parents, George E. Davis and Mary Milder Davis; brother, Ernest Davis and infant sister, Catherine Marsha Davis. Her father was born Jorge Anastasius Yavidis in Greece, his named was changed to George Davis when he migrated to the United States at the age of 16.

Survivors include two daughters, Chris Pullon of Bristol, VA and Ashely Pullon Daye of Lake Saint John; one son, Kevin Pullon and wife Tiffany of Fort Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Micah Pullon and wife Stevie of Port Charlotte, FL, Mitchell Daye and wife Chantell of Houma, Truly Rodgers and husband Josh of Brandon, FL and Paige Daye and fiancé Andrew Antonelli of New Orleans; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Davis of Ponchatoula and Patricia Smith Atkin of Mesquite, TX.

Pallbearers were Michael Burley, Shannon Vogt, Felton Dupree, Bryant Hammett, Clint Vegas and Barry Maxwell.

Honorary pallbearer was Keith Smith.

Nettie Farmer Green

Funeral services for Nettie Farmer Green, 92, of Vidalia, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday with Bro Matt Duff officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Green was born March 22, 1926 in Alexandria and passed away February 18, 2019. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia, where she taught the adult Sunday school class for several years. Nettie was active in Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society when she was a student at Louisiana Tech. After graduating she taught business classes until she retired. Nettie enjoyed reading, gardening and was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by husbands, McRay Sullivan and Henry Gilbert Green, Sr; her parents, Percy Hennington Farmer and Mary Inez Farmer; two brothers, William Farmer and John E. Farmer.

Survivors include four sons, John M. Sullivan and wife Margaret of Aurora, Indiana, Henry Green, Jr. of Vidalia, James and wife Aimee of Luling and George David Green of Vidalia; three grandchildren, Joni Smallwood, Caroline Green and Samuel Green and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
