A local non-profit organization is in the process of replenishing memorial flags for LA. Hwy 15 in Winnsboro.

Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 3155, is hosting  a flag drive to replace worn American flags and is accepting monitory donations to purchase additional flags, said Bobby Herring, commander of the post.

“Due to the wear and tear, many (flags) had to be discarded,” Herring said. “If anyone would like to donate a memorial flag of a deceased veteran or make a monitory donation you can contact me.”

For more information or to make a donation contact Herring at (318) 282-2046 or mail donations to Post 3155, P.O. Box 103, Winnsboro, La. 71295.

“Please held us to keep Winnsboro the ‘Flag Capital of Louisiana,’” Herring said.
