Princess shirt

The Princess Theatre is offering friends of the arts the opportunity to purchase a T-shirt featuring an original design by local artist Sunni Wicker.

“We were making the shirts as a ‘reward’ for our members at the bronze, silver and gold level, and realized there may be other theatre fans who would like to purchase a shirt and show their support,” said Princess board member Kelly Lodgen.

The shirt features a white rendering of the Princess Theatre by Wicker, with the words “Established 1912” and “Winnsboro, Louisiana.”  They are printed on a soft Tultex cotton blend in a heather charcoal gray. They are available for pre-order for $20 through the theatre’s website, princesstheatreinc.com.

“We are really pleased with how they turned out and just wanted to offer others in the community the opportunity to purchase a shirt and support local arts,” Lodgen said.

Deadline for placing an order is June 27, and the shirts will be available for pickup at the theatre during the summer musical, “Into the Woods,” set for Aug. 1-3.

The shirt designer, Sunni Wicker, is a Winnsboro native and the daughter of Pam and Mike Oliver. She now runs her art and design business, Moon Blossom Art, out of her home in Mandeville, La. where she resides with her husband and three sons. Her art often pays homage to her northeastern Louisiana roots with local architecture and Franklin Parish insignia in many of her pieces. More of her art can be seen via her Facebook page Moon Blossom Art, found here: https://www.facebook.com/MoonBlossomArt
