Donnie Louis Easterling

Funeral services for Donnie Louis Easterling, 82, of Winnsboro will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 in the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Karl Huff and Rev. Kelly Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the NELA Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Don was born on Dec. 4, 1936, in Fort Necessity and died at his residence on Dec. 23, 2018. He loved his family, fishing, coaching, watching his grandchildren play ball. He loved gardening, frying fish, loved tomatoes. He loved his Winnsboro Wildcats. He taught at West Point Military Academy. He was 1989 Northeast Football Coach of the Year. He also coached in the Louisiana High School Association All Star Games of 1995.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Leo and Dozie Lee Irverson Easterling, and a brother, Mike Easterling.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sue Easterling of Winnsboro; daughters, Cindy Strickland and husband Buddy of Winnsboro and Kim Wilcher and husband Scott of Baskin; grandchildren, Kara Wilcher, Ty Wilcher, and Amy Peters; brother, Ralph Easterling and wife Peggy of Fort Necessity; special nephew, Tim Holloway of Winnsboro.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Strickland, Scott Wilcher, Tim Holloway, Ashley Peters, Brandon Easterling, Shea Easterling, and Ty Wilcher. Honorary pallbearers will be former Wildcat football and track athletes coached by Coach Don.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mike Cobb

Memorial services for Mike Cobb, 54, of Winnsboro will be held at 10 a.m.Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, in Lone Cedar Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Rev. Johnny Magnuson officiating. 

He was born on June 2, 1964, in Fort Campbell, Ky. and passed from this life Saturday,  Dec. 22, 2018 at his home in Winnsboro.

Mike was farm manager with Delta Land Turf.  He was preceded in death by his mother Shirley Priest Cobb.

He is survived by his wife LaRue Cobb of Winnsboro, daughter Jennifer Cobb; son Curtis Cobb; five grandchildren Bentley Cobb, Addison Cobb, Annie Robbins, Sadie Cobb and Castiel Cobb; his father Al Cobb of Winnsboro; sister Donna Sewell and husband Michael of Farmerville.
