Martha Jane Anderson — Aug. 28, 2014

This may be the "dog days" of summer, 2014, but we have a great story to share about our local postal service in the Garden District and Belle Point neighborhoods. I was in Belle Point so drove to Claire Lane to leave my yard service invoice and cash with my friends. No one was home so I left my envelope in the mailbox, pulling up the red flag and calling and leaving a message that invoice and cash were in the  the mailbox.  Three days later, Pat Anderson brings in our mail from the box in our yard attached to the picket fence.  The $200 cash was still in the envelope which had been opened with my letter opener.  Many thanks to the honest folks who work in our local postal service.  I would have been in a "mell of a hess" explaining this to my friends, family and Bayou Landscaping!
