Monroe police arrested a Monroe man on suspicion of sexual battery and disturbing the peace last week after authorities were notified of the suspect inappropriately touching a woman at the mall.

The female complainant told police that Theodis Mack Wilson, 41, of 4107 Pippin St., Monroe, was inside the store, talking loudly, and touching the store register and computer screen behind the counter.

“Victim then advised when she told Wilson to leave Wilson held her by the waist,” stated the March 6 arrest report. “Victim stated she then attempted to separate herself from Wilson when he grabbed her breast on the outside of her clothing.”

Police reviewed security video footage and saw Wilson lying on the floor in the middle of the mall, with his pants down to his ankles, while he inappropriately touched himself.

The complainant told police Wilson left the store and began humping the wall outside the store.

Police reported Wilson's activities distracted other shoppers at the mall, including several children who were present.

Wilson was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
