Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies arrested a Monroe man on suspicion of felony theft last week after authorities received a complaint about a $800 missing from a jacket in the welding room at Richwood High School.

Video surveillance footage showed Jamarcus D. Allen, 19, of Erica Drive, Monroe, removing the cash from the jacket and splitting the money with two other suspects.

Allen admitted to taking the money from the wallet, according to the April 4 arrest report. The other two people indicated as taking money from Allen were Joshua Young and Keldrick Wilson.

Allen was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
