West Ouachita sent a pair of pitchers to the next level Friday morning when seniors Peyton Parker and Caleb Rutledge signed letters of intent to play for Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

“We grew up together since elementary school and now we get to go to college together,” Parker said.

Rutledge and Parker felt Co-Lin was their new home away from home after speaking with the coaching staff and visiting.

“I really felt like a key guy there with the way they talked to me,” Rutledge said.

Parker and Rutledge will look to complete a sweep against Franklin Parish as the postseason nears for the Chiefs.
