Life can really be a challenge or it can be fun and fabulous, depending on how we perceive it! When we face disappointment and loss and we all do, it is so easy to get “turned upside down” if we don’t depend on God to see us through...but we have to know, trust, and seek Him! We can’t do it as well without His help.
So much fun is happening watching LSU baseball in the College World Series. We can’t believe the score as LSU shuts down Oregon State twice 3-1 and 6-1. Unbelievable pitching against Oregon who were ranked 1st in the nation until this Saturday afternoon. LSU is headed to College World Series against Florida ... All-SEC national Tournament.
Our good friends, Suzanne and Jerry Wolff have a talented 12-year-old grandson, Brown Snyder, who just returned from the prestigious IMG Sports Camp, where he won the Outstanding Golfer in his group of 75 golfers. He is on our Star Watch list!
We had fun at the La. Tech wedding of Katie Miller to Daniel Dupuy, yes of “the Dups” as Pat says. We forgot to share with you that at the Squire Creek wedding of daughter, Becca, there was an artist painting the outside wedding scene from the back balcony at Squire.
Daniel is a Dallas employee of Tech and as the couple was pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Dupuy and started back down the aisle of the church, the Tech Fight Song was played and the Tech crowd cheered with Pom Poms. Not to be outdone by Stanley and Becca’s dance that went viral, Susan Gullatt Dupuy and son, Daniel, performed a cute choreographed River Dance at the reception in the Davison Sports Complex! Enough good food was served to feed an army!
Beautiful and smart Hannah Harris, daughter of Nancy King, works for the Gucci Company in NYC. Also headed to New York in August is Tri Delta at LSU, Meredith McKernan, who has accepted a modeling job at AMS! Meredith is studying in Europe for six weeks this summer. These girls have two dream jobs coming true! John Clay Reeves, All-American Catcher at Rice, landed a job in Houston with a law firm that is big time and he’s enjoying the good life!
Connie Watkins’ daughter, Mallori Ware, was wed to Clay Teegarden at a Virginia Plantation home of his grandparents with horse and buggy transportation and fabulous God-sent scenery. Good friends, Amy Dewees and Lila Hargrove, were among the 38-plus family members who traveled to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia for this special wedding.
Few things are as important as the Sacrament of Baptism where we commit to believing in and following the guide of Jesus, the Christ! Our-great grandson, Brady Aulds Guillot with the support of Dad, Rick, and all the family did just that on Father’s Day! What an advantage it is for the children who have been connected to God by family and friends! They have the strength and power to keep going during tough times.
Our family is blessed that Mallory Herlevic Benedetto has accepted a position in the Pharmacy School at ULM as Pharmacy Communications Coordinator. She has a degree in neuroscience from Tulane and a Masters in Pharmacology from Tulane Medical School. ULM has also been approved for a new Med School! Go ULM and President Bruno.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
Have a great week in constant touch with God!
