The 2018 Concordia Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner Celebration will be held Thursday, March 22, at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center.

Former Ferriday Senator, Insurance Commissioner and Secretary of State Jim Brown will be the featured speaker.

Brown is now a political consultant and commentator based in Baton Rouge.

Awards will be presented to the 2017 Business of The Year; 2017 Concordian of the Year; 2017 Educator of the Year, 2017 Farmer of the Year, 2017 First Responder of the Year and an award will go to a business who has served the community for 50 years or more.

"It's going to be an elegant evening with entertainment and an exceptional guest speaker," said Chamber Awards Dinner Chairman Brandy Spears.

The awards evening begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., with the dinner and awards scheduled to begin at 6:45 p.m.

Big Drew & The Bubbadelic will provide the entertainment.

There will be live and silent auction and a $2,500 Drawdown with tickets at $25 each. They will be for sale at the door or you can contact any board member or the chamber office 318-336-8223. Only 300 will be sold.

Live auction items include: Beauty/Spa package, Sportsman's packages, Couples Get Away at Honey Brake Lodge, Victorian Chalet with Mountain View in Gatlinburg, TN, and a pair of hand made rocking chairs.

Sponsorships included Platinum seats for 16 (preferred seating) for $1,800, Gold seats for eight for $1,000; Silver seats for four for $500, Cocktail seats for two for $250 and $70 for individual tickers.

Cocktail attire is requested.
