The Doty Road Church at 1604 Third St. was recognized by the Ferriday Garden Club as the Golden Broom winner for the month of August.  The litter-free lawn was freshly cut and edged and the shrubs were neatly trimmed.  The church will be looking good for the installation of the pastor, Antonio Iseah, on August 14, 2022, at 3 p.m.  Pictured are members, Linda Arline and Gloria H. Mason. 

Most Improved goes to the future home of JMJ Sports Bar and Grill at 704 E.E. Wallace Blvd., Ferriday, LA.. They have done a lot of work to paint and repair the building as well as clean up the outside.  Even more improvements are planned for the future.  

The Concordia Parish Library in Ferriday was awarded Honorable Mention.  They removed some old shrubs, added pine straw to the beds and neatly mowed the lawn.  

The Golden Broom is a project of the Ferriday Garden Club and is presented to a church or business in Ferriday, LA, that exemplifies that they are working toward "Keepin' Ferriday Clean.”
