VGC Yard of the Month

VIBRANT SUMMERTIME colors welcome visitors to the 139 Lee Avenue home of Sherrie Brister, which earned Vidalia Garden Club’s Yard of the Month honors for June 2022.   Deep red begonias line one side of the front sidewalk, with petite double red Knockout roses interspersed with golden Burford Holly and red nandinas on the opposite side. Red and yellow Stella daylilies are placed strategically throughout the garden as are Purselane, coreopsis and red vinca. An ornamental Sasanqua, a Japanese Maple and a River Birch tree round out the landscape. A fresh summer wreath adorns the front door and the porch features two inviting seating areas.
