Five charge

Five suspects arrested and charged in connection with the armed robber of Ferriday Finance on Wednesday, Nov. 7.

The final suspect in an armed robbery at Ferriday Finance on Wednesday was apprehended Thursday at 8 p.m. on Roosevelt St., in Stanton, north of Natchez.

Phil Wilson II of Natchez had remained at large following the arrests of four other suspects -- two charged in the armed robbery and two charged as accessories after the fact.

Wilson was charged with one count of armed robbery.

Arrested and charged in addition to Wilson are:

John Stephen Dillard, 601 Old Washington Rd., Natchez, MS.

Cedric Dewayne Davis, 303 McIntyre Blvd., Natchez, MS.

Maurice Gibson, 36 Garden Street, Natchez, MS.

Taire Jonte Nelson, 702 N. Union St., Natchez, MS

Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office Special Operations Group Commander John Cowan said an anonymous tip led to the arrest.

Assisting Cowan was Chad Fuqua and Phillip Smith of the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office and the Adams County Sheriff's Office.
