Five people have been arrested in connection to the June 12th robbery of an elderly Ferriday woman on 10th Street.

Working together on the case, the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office and Ferriday Police Department reported that U.S. Marshals in Gulfport arrested two individuals for the armed robbery of Helen Brown.

Brown was robbed at her home during the early hours of June 12 after transporting her son to work.

Two juveniles were charged with robbing Brown. The two teens allegedly dumped the contents from Brown's stolen purse into a garbage container, where three other suspects took her checkbook and attempted to cash forged check.

The juveniles will arrive in Concordia Parish today and will be booked.

The three suspects, 23-year-old Katina Banks, 19-year-old Zhane Green and 25-year-old Kenderrick Green were charged with forgery.

Zhane Green was released on bond Friday, while Kenderrick Green remains in jail on parole and probation hold.

Banks remains in jail.
