Rape charge

A Ferriday man was charged today with the aggravated rape of a 6-year-old-girl in Ferriday.

Shiterrus Johnson, 21, 100 Kyle Road, Apt. 18, was taken into custody after officers obtained a search warrant.

According to Concordia Parish Investigator Chris Groh, Johnson was booked this morning at the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office in Vidalia.

Groh said the girl was tested at Riverland Medical Center in early January for Chlamydia, a bacterial infection that is transmitted by sexual contact with another person

Once the results came back positive, Groh said Johnson and his father, who both live with the mother of the child, were tested.

Shiterrus Johnson's test came back positive, leading to the arrest, Groh said.
