Road work

CREW WERE busy in Ferriday on Tuesday upgrading Highway 425. The work is part of a project stretching from Arkansas Avenue in Ferriday to the US 65 intersection in Clayton. D & J Construction Co. of West Monroe is the contractor for the $2.8 million project, which according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, consists of “patching existing pavement failures, milling the existing asphalt pavement and replacing with a new lift of asphalt.” (Concordia Sentinelphoto)
