Funeral services for CF Evans, 89, of Pineville, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Youngs Funeral Home in Jonesville with Bro. Jack Colclasure and Bro. James Foster officiating.  Internment will follow at Wood Land Cemetery, Jena, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.

CF Evans was born on Thursday, February 28, 1929 in Harrisonburg and passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Rapides General Medical Center in Alexandria. 


Debra Jean Hamilton

Funeral services for Debra Jean Hamilton, 56, of Acme, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Monterey Church of Christ with Bro. Paul Avery and Bro. Jason Sparks officiating.  Interment will follow at New Era Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Debra Hamilton was born on Thursday, March 22, 1962 in Ferriday and passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.   She was a resident of Acme, a member of Monterery Church of Christ  and worked for Farm Bureau Insurance for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her father Ernest "Boo" Lee; her mother Irene Knapp Lee; a brother Michael Lee and a sister Janet Lee Bell.

Survivors include her husband Keith Hamilton of Acme; daughter Kristie Lee and her husband Jeremy of Brookhaven, MS; a grandson Carter Lee and two granddaughters, Mia Lee and Laken Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Robert Hamilton, Cliff Hamilton, Ryan Thompson, Ronnie Thompson, Brent Smith and Brandon Avery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kevin Ingram, Dr. Jack Rodriguez, Coye Pace and John Rife.

Harvey E. Gaspard

Harvey E. Gaspard, 78, a resident of Zachary, died on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his home. There was a memorial service at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 with graveside services Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Acme Cemetery in Acme.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eldy Faye Pecanty Gaspard; one daughter, Terri Gaspard; three grandchildren, Justin Jarreau,

Jessica Jarreau, D'Wayne Flournoy; six great grandchildren, Morgan, Emily, Jace, Libbie, Myiah, and Marlin; and a brother, James P. Gaspard.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Gaspard Gay; a brother Joseph Jerry Gaspard; and his parents, Eugene Gaspard and Rose Ella Bordelon Gaspard. If anyone wishes to make

contributions in his memory, please do so to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.


John Thomas Sanderson

Funeral services for John Thomas Sanderson, 56, of Waterproof, were held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday with Bro. Larry Walters officiating.  Interment followed at Monclova Cemetery, Waterproof, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

John  Sanderson was born on Sunday, December 30, 1962 in Newellton and passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 while working in New Jersey.   He was a resident of Waterproof and was the Chief Engineer of Crain Operations for Weeks Marine International.

He was preceded in death by his father Jim Sanderson; paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Sanderson; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Metcalf; daughter-in-law Jenna Johnson and her infant son Emmerson Sanderson.

Survivors include a son Jim Sanderson of  Saint Joseph; a daughter Bonye Sanderson of Waterproof; his mother Martha Sanders and her husband Billy of  Waterproof; a sister Tammy Sanderson Thomas and her husband Chris of Haughton; step-son Brandon White of Monroe; step-daughter Danielle Lee and her husband Adam and children of AR; two nephews Dylan Thomas and his wife Maddie of Haughton and Peyton Thomas of Hammond.

He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins

Pallbearers were Kiley Sanders, Darryl Head, Terry Mize Jr., Theodore Felix, Dylan Thomas and Peyton Thomas

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Sanderson, Monty "Squirrel" Thornton, and his co-workers at Weeks Marine, Cal Dive, Horizon and Atlantic Inc .

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or a charity of choice.

Stewart Hanes Stockman

Funeral services for Stewart Hanes Stockman, 85, of Jonesville, were held Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at New Life Pentecostal Church with Rev. David Poole and Rev. Joel Ford officiating. Internment followed at Heard Cemetery, Manifest, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.


Stewart Stockman was born on Sunday, April 2, 1933 in Delhi and passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at his residence.
