After playing one of its best games of the season in a 41-7 second round MAIS Class 5 win over Riverfield, Adams County Christian School saw its season end in an upset loss to Kirk Academy of Grenada 16-7 Friday in Natchez.

 The Rebels were penalized 15 times for 140 yards and managed only 208 total yards on offense.

  Colin Cauthen had two interceptions to lead the Rebel offense.

  J.J. Claiborne had 23 rushes for 99 carries in the game. 

Coleman Carter rushed for 22 yards and threw for 67 on six completions. 

Jamar Kaho scored AC’s only touchdown on a 12-yard pass from Coleman. 

Kirk scored on a 70-yard interception return, recovering two Rebel fumbles and intercepting two passes.

ACCS finished the season at 8-3, finishing one game short of allowing King to participate in his 11th state championship game.
