Block High picked up its first win of the season as the Bears defeated Montgomery 48-6 in Jonesville Friday.

“We had a parade,” Bear head coach Benny Vault joked Monday. “Our kids played well. They blocked who they were supposed to block and executed. Getting game experience through the year really helped us.”

Zavion Green and Jaden Jones combined for over 350 rushing yards and five total touchdowns .

Green had three rushing touchdowns and 178 rushing yards. Jones had 185 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Quarterback Kristian O’steen threw for one touchdown, ran for another touchdown, and had two interceptions on defense.

Block plays at Northwood-Lena Thursday.

“It would be nice to end the season with two wins in a row,” Vault said.
