Franklin Parish High School Spelling Bee

Camryn Price is the 2019 Franklin Parish High School Spelling Bee winner.

Price, a senior at FP, won the spelling bee March 15 by spelling parsimony. The winning word means extreme or excessive economy or frugality; stinginess.

Price is the daughter of Trey and Beth Price of Winnsboro.

Taking second place was FP senior Bruce Cordill. He is the son of Joey and Brandi Cordill and 2019 Franklin Parish High School student of the year.

Camryn Day, the third place winning, is a junior at FP. 

The spelling bee lasted 16 rounds with 13 finalists participating.

Other finalists were: Avery Banks, a sophomore, Garret Collins, a senior, Reagan Henderson, a senior, Emily Hunt, a junior, Christopher Ignont, a junior, Ainsley Noel, a sophomore, Keegan Price, a sophomore, Chase Sartin, a junior, A’Chante Sims, a sophomore and Luke Troha, a sophomore.
