FCCS continues to work hard after slow start

The Family Community Christian School boys basketball team has been experiencing a rough start but continue to play hard.

The Warriors were downed by the Block Bears Nov. 25.

In the first half, the Bears put on a strong full court press and featured several fast breaks against the Warriors.

Final score was Block 80, FCCS 32.

Jon T Williams was the leading scorer for the Warriors in the game against Block. Williams scored 14 points.

Warner Poland put in five points while Seth Lowe scored four.

Joshua Beeman, Owen Royals and Kaden Murray scored three points each for FCCS.

Epps 88 - FCCS 53

On Nov. 23, the Warriors faced a tough Epps team in West Carroll Parish.

Epps came out on top 88 to 58.

Three FCCS players scored in double figures in the game.

Williams had a strong night offensively for the Warriors. Williams led the team in scoring with 23 points.

Additionally, Poland had a solid night. He scored 18 points for FCCS while Murray put in 10 points.

Beeman contributed six points for the Warriors, and Lowe put in one point.

Kilborne 80 - FCCS 53

FCCS fell to Kilborne on Nov. 21 to the tune of 80-53.

Like in the Epps game, FCCS had three Warriors to reach double digits in scoring.

Williams again led the team offensively with 18 points.

Poland put in 17 points while Murray rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12.

Lowe had three points while Royals contributed two points.

Sicily Island 76 - FCCS 33

FCCS traveled to Sicily Island Nov. 19. The Tigers beat the Warriors 76-33.

Murray led FCCS offensively by putting in 10 points on the night.

Not far behind was Poland with nine points while Williams scored six points.

Lowe and Beeman contributed with four points each.
