Cobb sworn in as LSA president

Fifth Judicial District Judge Steve Dean administers the Oath of Office to Sheriff Kevin Cobb, center, who will begin his term as the 77th president of the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association on July 1.  Holding the Bible for her husband is Tanya Cobb. The local swearing-in ceremony was held at the Old Post Office Museum in Winnsboro and attended by sheriffs from around the state as well as state and local officials and members of the community. Cobb is the first sheriff from Franklin Parish to be elected to the position. He will officially take the gavel during the LSA conference set to take place July 31-Aug. 4 in Florida.
