A Franklin Parish citizen who was initially denied permission to speak at a School Board meeting was placed on the Oct. 5 agenda.

On Tuesday night, School Board members approved their monthly agenda which included Cindy Gray addressing the group. Gray, a 21-year veteran nurse practitioner, will voice the effects of wearing a mask.

At the regular meeting Sept. 7, School Board members Eddie Ray Bryan and Tim Eubanks voted not to allow Gray to speak while School Board members Alaina Nichols, Danny Davis, Richard Kelly and Jacqueline Johnson were in favor of Gray speaking. School Board member Mia Dunn was absent.

According to Louisiana Open Meeting Law, public bodies must post agendas 24 hours prior to a meeting, but late items can be added to the agenda upon an unanimous approval by present members.
