Funeral services for Mary Burns, 59, of Winnsboro will be held 2 pm Thursday, March 28, 2019, at First Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in Coax Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Wednesday March 27, 2019, at the church.

Mary passed away March 24, 2019.

Graveside services for Cynthia Minor, 60, of Winnsboro will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home.

Gladys Jeanette Pitman

Funeral services for Gladys Jeanette Pitman, 85, of Winnsboro, were held Friday, March 22, 2019, at Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro Rev. Jimmy Harper and Rev. David Shirley officiating.  Interment followed in Lone Cedar Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Pitman loved church, singing, Bible Studies, gardening and the outdoors.  She also enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family and cooking, and loving her Lord.  She was loving and dedicated to her husband and family.  She is preceded in death by her birth parents, Willie and Leona McGraw, and her adoptive parents, Charlie and Alma McVay.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Willie Pitman; daughters: Glenda Girod and husband, Gary of Winnsboro, and Ginger Netherland and husband Johnny of Farmerville; two sons: Johnny Pitman and wife Betty of West Monroe, and Ronald Pitman and wife Ann of West Monroe; step-brother, Tommy Hopkins and wife Betty; grandchildren: Corey Girod, Sharon Beckman, Johnny Pitman Jr., Rebecca Kilpatrick, Jennifer Netherland, Karen, and Dylan Pitman; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Nicholas Dupree, Taylor Hertzler, Jon Patrick Pitman, Kolby Girod, Johnny Pitman Jr., Corey Girod, and Trevor Lala.

Honorary Pallbearers were Danny Posey, Howard Wade, Artis Free, and Deacons of Temple Baptist Church.

Cheryl J. Golsby

A ceremony celebrating the life of Cheryl J. Golsby was held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Life Church, Walker. Interment followed at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Church Funeral Services Baton Rouge.

Cheryl was born in Delhi, on March 20, 1956, and departed from this life on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria. She was a resident of Gilbert and a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter Heather LaFleur; siblings Alice Selden, Sherry Worthy, Jimmy and Michael Dooley; also survived by two grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Julius 'Bud' Credit

Funeral services for Julius “Bud” Credit, 65, of Winnsboro were held Sunday, March 24, 2019, at True Gospel Baptist Church. Burial followed at Morning Star Cemetery under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home.

Mr. Credit died March 18, 2019, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Credit, Winnsboro; sons: Roderick Credit and Terrance Thomas; daughters: Melynn White, Ashley Credit-Coleman, McKenze Credit and Dominique Credit; brothers: James Ross Jr. and Joe McCarthy Jr.; sisters: Beverly Ross, Penny Ross, Evelyn Ross-Tyson, Brenda Ross-Garrett, and Bebra Ross Jones; 10 grandchildren; god daughter, Lasheka Carter; god son, Shaq Rubin.

Pallbearers were Roderick Credit, Joe McCarthy Jr., Roy Mason Jr., McKenze Credit, Dontae Credit, and Paul Credit.

Sandra Scott Sutherlin

Funeral service for Sandra Scott Sutherlin, 75, of Winnsboro, were held Friday, March 22, 2019, in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Kelly Wayne Clark officiating. Burial followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutherlin, a machine operator for Georgia Pacific, was born on June 1, 1943, in Winnsboro, to the union of Adrian Alan Scott and Myrtle Lynch Scott, and passed from this life on March 19, 2019, in Winnsboro, after a valiant battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Adrian and Myrtle Scott, and by her sisters, Deborah Scott and Gayle Scott.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are William E. Sutherlin, Sr.; daughter, Beth Crowell and husband Jeff; son, Elliott Sutherlin; grandchildren, Chelsea Bourgeois and husband Ryan, and Rachel Crowell; sister, Carolyn Ashley and husband Charles. She is also survived by a host of friends and family.

Pallbearers were Scott Ashley, Kyle Russell, Ray Glasscock, Jeff Sutherlin, Toby Sutherlin, and John L. Scott.

Honorary pallbearers were Bob Wolley, and Jerry Sutherlin.

The family of Mrs. Sutherlin would like to extend a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care nurses: Kaycie Weed and Anna Thomas. We greatly appreciate the love and support you have shown to us and the care and comfort you brought to our mother during this time. Robin Renee Spearman

Funeral service for Robin Renee Spearman, 48, of Crowville, will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Arnold officiating. Burial will follow the service in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.

Ms. Spearman was born on June 10, 1970, in Delhi, to the union of Charles Jan Spearman and Doris Sue Arnold Spearman, and passed from this life on March 23, 2019, in Crowville. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Jan Spearman; and brother, Charles Wayne Spearman.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her mother, Doris Sue Spearman; daughter, Heather Rae Powell; brother, John Quintis Spearman; and sisters, Cheryl Lynn Spearman and Julie Tonia Brazell.

Robin was faithful despite hard times. She was full of energy and life. She will be missed for her creative, loving, kind, caring, and sweet spirit.

Pallbearers will be Toby Keith McVay, Charles Mann, William Mann, Johnny McDaniel, Sandy Teel, Dustin Augullard, and Roger Dale Arnold.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Arnold and Todd Canady.

Huey P. Crum

Funeral service for Huey P. Crum, 90, of Fort Necessity, were held Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Ft. Necessity Baptist Church, with Rev. Don Blackmon and Rev. Dallas Crain officiating. Burial followed in Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Crum, a farmer, was born on March 19, 1929, to the union of William Dalton Crum and Ida Bell Bass Crum, and passed from this life on March 21, 2019 at his home in Fort Necessity. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Ida Crum, nine brothers, and one sister.

Survivors left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jacquelin Gilmore of Winnsboro; son, Ricky Crum of Fort Necessity; grandson, David Gilmore and wife Valerie of Extension; great-grandson, Tyler Gilmore and wife Cassidy of Extension; and great-great grandchildren, Carter Gilmore and Drake Gilmore. He is also survived by a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were James Moore, Bubba Mabry, Glenn Gallagher, Paul Thornhill, Tony Roberts, and Chuck Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Earl Atcheson and Buford Guillot.

Glenda Sue Robinson

Funeral services for Glenda Sue Robinson, 72, of Gilbert, were held Thursday, March 21, 2019, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Bubba Ezell, Rev. Paul Perry, and Rev. Michael Hunter Robinson officiating.  Interment followed in Jigger of Garden of Memories. 

Glenda Sue was born March 13, 1947, to the union of Iley Rice and Ruby Bell Bailey Rice, and passed from this life on March 18, 2019, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe.

Mrs. Robinson  enjoyed watching red birds, and coloring as her past time.  She was Aunt Sue to everyone.  She also wanted to make sure John was taken care of.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Wayne Robinson Jr. ; two sisters: Aline Wheeler and Oneda Varnell; two brothers Richard and Gerald Rice.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband John Robinson of Gilbert; her son, Mark Robinson and wife Anita of Jigger; one grandson, Brandon Robinson of Jigger; one granddaughter, Jeanna Robinson Ezell and husband Bubba of Gilbert; one great-granddaughter Kerrigan Ezell; one brother Stanley Rice; numerous nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Howie Robinson, Justin Robinson, Michael Hunter Robinson, Ray Robinson, C. L. Robbins and David Varnell.

Honorary pallbearers were Danny Lee Robbins, Steve Varnell, and Gary “Stick” Williams.

Patsy Hilbun

Funeral services for Patsy Hilbun, 78, of Wisner, were held Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at South Central Baptist Church, in Wisner, with Rev. Keith Dowden officiating.  Interment followed in Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Rayville, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Mrs. Hilbun enjoyed live music, cooking, baking, gardening, drinking Dr. Pepper’s, sitting on her porch watching birds, and visiting with family and friends.  She also loved her church and church family, at South Central; she also enjoyed Christmas and holidays and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Annie Ruth Johnson Woolley, and sister-in-law, Sharon Woolley.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Buddy Hilbun of Wisner; daughter, Cindy Hilbun of Wisner, and son, Jerry Wayne Hilbun of Houston, Texas and brother, Joe Herman Woolley of Sommerville, Texas. 

Pallbearers were Jerry Hilbun, Curtis Hilbun, Lionel Hilbun, Jr., Gerald Currington, and John Jones.

Ella M. Rollins

Funeral services for Ella M. Rollins, 96, of Winnsboro, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2019, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. 

Ella was born June 9, 1922, in Harrisonburg to the union of Laben Floyd and Emma Dean Allen Floyd, and passed from this life on March 24, 2019, at Plantation Manor Nursing Center.

Mrs. Rollins enjoyed gardening and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Rollins; son, W. L. “Buddy” Rollins; two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Connie Harris and husband Mike of Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren: Debra Rollins Hadley and husband Will of Winnsboro, Necci Gregory and husband Tim of Newellton, Ricky Rollins and wife Donna of Columbia, Melanie Keyes of Winnsboro, and Jason Breland and wife Jennifer of Lafayette; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jason Breland, Tim Gregory, Walker Gregory, Jake Rollins, Justin Rollins and Ricky Rollins.

Honorary pallbearer will be Will Hadley.
