A collection of photos from the Memorial Day observance held at the Lowentritt Pavilion at Davis Park.

U.S. Congressmen Ralph Abraham (R-Alto) and Charles Boustany (R-Lafayette) are scheduled to attended the ceremonies. The annual observance is organized by Diamond-Hawthorne Post 84 of the American Legion.

U.S. Navy Veteran Mitch Reynolds, who also served 33 years in the field of law enforcement and is currently director of the Franklin Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness, was the keynote speaker.

The program will included the dedication of 14 new pavers to the Veterans Memorial located at the park. Over 1,800 pavers have been installed since the memorial was constructed over 20 years ago, according to Bobby Collins.
