Sartin represents Southwest Region

Anne Elise Sartin, was selected by Softball Factory to represent the Southwest Region (comprised of players from Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana) in a national tournament held this weekend in Plano, Texas where she competed against teams from seven other regions representing the rest of the United States.  Her team went undefeated in the West half of bracket play by beating the Northwest, West and Great Lakes Regions before losing in the championship game by one run to the Mid-Atlantic Region.

She finished second on the team in batting average (.545) and on base percentage (.615) and tied for the team lead in slugging percentage (1.000), doubles (2) and RBI (5).  She was also the only player on her team to hit a home run when she hit a 3-run homer against the Northwest Region.

In the circle, she pitched in three of the four games played over the weekend and went 2-1 with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
