The Northeast Louisiana Wheelin' Sportsmen is hosting its annual "Gun Bash" Aug. 9 at River of Life Church in Winnsboro at 6 p.m.

The Northeast Louisiana Wheelin' Sportsmen is a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation's Wheelin Sportsmen non-profit organization. The Wheelin' Sportsmen is a group of volunteers that provide people with disabilities the opportunity to go hunting and fishing.

The "Gun Bash" is a fund raiser to raise money to provide these thing to the disabled hunters. At the "Gun Bash," for every ten tickets sold: one gun will be given away. There will also be games, a silent auction and meal served. 100 percent of the proceeds are used for Wheelin' Sportsmen purposes.
