King Neville

NEW ORLEANS -- The 12th Neville High School football championship came in exciting fashion as No. 14 seed Edna Karr threatened but could not overcome the Tigers in a 45-26 state championship clash.

Josh Diarse saved his best performance of the season for last, totaling 264 rushing yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns. His 21-yard score in the fourth quarter gave Neville a 31-20 lead, and following a Tyrin Ralph fumble on a promising drive late, Diarse took a handoff on a speed sweep 74 yards to give Neville the separation it needed for another Class 4A title.
