Ouachita Parish Metro Narcotics Unit agents arrested a West Monroe man on several drug charges last week after authorities received a tip about drug activity on Evergreen Street.
Agents made contact with Earl W. Neathery, 40, of 700 Evergreen St., West Monroe, who told agents he would take agents to the place in his house where he kept marijuana, according to the Sept. 30 arrest report.
Agents found a handgun and Suboxone and a THC vape cartridge and THC wax and drug paraphernalia and about three pounds of “purple urkel” marijuana in a closet.
During questioning, Neathery said he sells marijuana and owned the handgun and also was a convicted felon.
Neathery said he received the marijuana in packages delivered by the U.S. Postal Service.
Neathery was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center on possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Suboxone, possession of marijuana, and possession of a gun in the presence of drugs.
