Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies arrested a Monroe man for battery of two health care professionals at a local behavior unit in West Monroe last week.

The suspect, Jemarcus D. Green, 30, of 106 23rd St., Monroe, was under physician's orders to be held at the behavior unit for 72 hours, but he tried to leave the facility, according to the Sept. 24 arrest report.

A technician found Green trying to kick through a glass door and tried to stop Green, but Green became aggressive and cursed the technician and tried to start a fight, the arrest report stated.

A nurse observed the altercation, and Green pushed her and spat on her, according to the arrest report.

During questioning, Green denied the accusations.

He was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
