Ouachita Parish sheriff's deputies arrested a West Monroe man on suspicion of disturbing the peace through language after a senior citizen complained the suspect used an expletive in her presence.

Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct call off Oak Street in West Monroe. The incident involved Jared Dylan Smith, 20, of 345 G.B. Cooley Road, West Monroe.

“While standing next to my 75-year-old complainant, Jared yelled the word 'f—k' and clearly disturbed her peace,” stated the April 8 arrest report.

No one else was around him when this occurred, according to the arrest report.

Smith denied using an expletive in the presence of the woman.

He was booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.

As a practicing homosexual, I'm inclined to agree with you.

This is f--ing stupid. The First amendment protects free speech. The f--ing idiot cop that arrested this guy needs to be fired and sued. These ignorant fools need to learn what it means to be free in America.
