“Because of God’s unbelievable gift of His only Son, Jesus, the Christ child, we have peace that is beyond understanding even when we hurt; in believing in Him, we have joy that cannot be taken away. We can have His kind of love that lasts always. We have nothing to fear and everything in which to have hope, today, tomorrow, and always.” Adapted from a card from Tinker and Charles Van Zile...

It is not too late to enjoy Mike and Dianne Cage’s fabulous lighted oak tree at 119 Glenmar at North Second Street and the multi-colored lights on the great oak on Park Avenue.

Beautifully decorated to the nines are: Cynthia Bailey on Pargoud, the Wendell Mannings old fashioned country home on Joe White Road, the Dr. Daven Spires on Marie Place, Marion and Tommy Zentner’s magnificent Riverside Drive family home, Jenifer Johnson Walker’s on Riverside, Dix and Jan Johnston’s on Deborah, Arabella and James Moore’s on Country Club, and Linda and Sam Trinca’s traditional classic home on Park Avenue!

It is fantastic to hear about children doing well. Congratulations to Allie Watson, Karen and Brooks’ daughter who is now Dr. Watson, dentist. Kudos to Jessica Johnston who belongs to Dr. Jan, the dentist, and Dix, the good Samaritan, who works on keeping us focused on God’s forgiving grace. Jessica too is a new dentist going in with her mom. Bella Moore hosted perhaps the best ever Baby Shower for Analeise Reeves Thomas. Bella’s new home is the classic white with fabulous yet minimalistic decor. Ainsley Anderson Herlevic has started her new business, Plush Design, Decor, Event and Wedding Planning.

Dianne and Mike Cage’s family and very close friends enjoyed a top of the list Party at their River House that was originally built by Hughes Abell! Just fabulous! Alpha and John Spence hosted the Potpourri Book Club Christmas Party and Alpha “pulled out all the stops to make it tops!” John served the best milk punch in town!

Our good friend and cancer survivor, Amy Norris, shared these words with us:

“Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid or discouraged; for it is the Lord our God who goes with us; He will not fail us or forsake us.”
