Emily Laura Arrington and Justin Pierce Alexander were married at 2:30 in the afternoon on June 3, 2017 in Beaver Creek Chapel, Avon, Colorado.
Parents of the bride are Kent and Laura Arrington of Monroe. Grandparents are Lehlia Terry and the late Jimmy Terry, Bill and Chlorica Arrington, and the late Martha Arrington. Parents of the groom are Steve and Maureen Jordan of Birmingham and the late Earl Pierce Alexander. Grandparents of the groom are the late Edmund and Rita Foley and the late Lucian and Clara Belle Alexander.
The bride's sister, Dr. Jennilee Nolan served as Matron of Honor and the groom's stepfather, Steve Jordan served as Best Man.
Bridesmaids were Brittany Lord Thompson and Gabriella Alexander. Junior bridesmaids were Ella Little, Patricia Terry, and Caroline Allums. Flower girls were Charlotte Nolan and Elizabeth Allums.
Groomsmen were Jason Alexander, Jeremy Alexander, William Arrington, Brayden Alexander, and Nicholas Alexander. Ring Bearer was Hilton Jordan. Serving as ushers and greeters were Hudson Alexander, Nolan Alexander, James Christopher Allums, and Jon Thomas Allums.
Scripture was read by cousins of the bride Bradley Terry and Devon Terry.
The wedding party entered to the organ music of Bach, Handel, and Clarke played by Bob Trezise. Carleen Sweet sang "The Prayer" by Sage and Foster during the lighting of the Unity Candle. Robert Johnson, uncle of the groom gave the intercessory prayer. Father James Baird performed the wedding ceremony.
On either side of the altar were large floral arrangements of hydrangeas, lilies, and roses designed by the uncle of the bride, Chris Allums. They were lovingly arranged by aunts of the bride, Amanda Terry and Elise Leitzel. The bride wore a white satin gown with a bodice of beading and lace. Her beautiful lace trimmed veil covered her face as she came down the aisle. She carried a bouquet of orchids wrapped with a handkerchief anointed with prayer and oil.
Bridesmaids wore long chiffon champagne dresses and carried a mixed bouquet of pastels. Flower girls wore white cotton dresses with large embroidered collars. All the young girls wore wreaths of white flowers in their hair.
The groom and and male attendants wore navy blue suits with gold patterned bow ties. Following the ceremony the celebration continued with a reception and dinner at Mirabelle in Beaver Creek. Games on the front lawn, board games on the porch, sitting areas both outside and in provided a relaxed atmosphere.
Following dinner, toasts were given, a poem by the bride's grandfather was read, guests were treated to wedding cake and French pastries and the evening continued with dancing.
The bride and groom left for a honeymoon in Costa Rica and now make their home in Arvada, Colorado. Emily, a graduate of ULM is a speech language pathologist. Justin, a graduate of University of Alabama is employed by PEC Safety.
