Emily Carver and Luke Amos exchanged marriage vows at 2 p.m. on June 20, 2015 at First Baptist Church of West Monroe. Chris Trombatore officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Gary and Sherry Carver of West Monroe and Tony and B.J. Amos of Crowville. Grandparents of the bride are Charles and Evie Martin of West Monroe and Belford and Joan Carver of Hammond. Grandparents of the groom are the late Earl Amos and Kenneth and Eudolie Amos Killian of Crowville and Rhodene Stokes of Winnsboro.
The bride was escorted by her father, Gary Carver. She wore a beautiful strapless ivory gown with a detailed, fitted bodice. It flowed into a soft and flowing chiffon skirt and the empire waist was accented with exquisite, hand-beaded lace and ruching detail. She carried a bouquet of ivory and plum roses accentuated by burlap and plum ribbon.
Jordan Ward served as maid of honor and Lindsay Spillers served as matron of honor. Holly Tyler served as a bridesmaid and Hallie Trisler served as a junior bridesmaid.
Ben Beavers served as best man. Tyler Amos, Caleb Easter, and Bradley Carver served as groomsmen. Logan Trisler and Collin Trisler served as ushers.
The bride is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University. She is currently employed as an elementary school teacher with the Ouachita Parish School System.
The groom is a graduate of Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology school in Tulsa, Okla. He is currently self-employed as a farmer in Franklin Parish.
The reception was held in Tennison Hall. Following their honeymoon in, Gaitlinburg, Tenn., the couple will make their home in Crowville.
