Jayle Jeannette Guy and Derek Samuel Saxon, both of West Monroe, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019, in an oceanside beachfront wedding in Maui, Hawaii. Michael Fish officiated the double ring ceremony which was attended by family members.

The bride was given in marriage by her grandfather, Vernon Guy. She wore a strapless lace wedding dress with a flower crown and handheld bouquet. The couple celebrated locally with a reception event at 6 p.m. May 4, at the Civitan Club in West Monroe.

The bride is the daughter of Jerel and Debra Guy and the granddaughter of Vernon and Patsy Guy of West Monroe.

She graduated high school in West Monroe and is employed by Creed & Creed Law Firm.

The groom is the son of Tommy and Dianne Saxon and the grandson of John and Lilly Clark. He graduated high school in Downsville and is employed by Graphic Packaging.

After honeymooning in Maui, Hawaii, the couple is residing in Calhoun.
