On Sunday, June 22nd 2014 at 6 pm Mollie Claire Walker and Aaron Aubrey Cline exchanged marriage vows at White Oak Plantation in Baton Rouge, LA. The bride’s father Pastor Dale Walker and brother Jared Walker performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Walker of Monroe. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Cline of Peoria, Illinois.
Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Frank Meredith Walker Sr. of Monroe and the late Frank Meredith Walker Sr. and Mrs. Bill Laws of West Monroe and the late Bill Laws. Grandparents of the groom are Cecelia Dolinka and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Cline.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless fit-n-flare organza gown embellished with beaded embroidery and lace with a chapel length train. Her veil of bridal illusion was edged with crystal beading that matched her dress. She carried a bouquet of blue hydrangeas and the flowers were entwined with pearls from her maternal grandmother. Mollie wore a pearl necklace given to her by her paternal grandmother.
The bridesmaids wore tea length dresses in blue chiffon and carried bouquets of green and white hydrangeas. Whitney Walker, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Allison Schore sister of the groom, Colby Walker, sister-in-law of the bride and cousins of the bride, Carlie Turner and Caitlin Herrock.
Alex Cline, brother of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Fries, Ritchie Delgado, Freddy Delgado and Jimmy Cartwright.
William Swander was the ring bearer and Emma Herrock, cousin of the bride, was the soloist.
The ceremony was performed on the front steps of the plantation and the reception followed in the White Oak ballroom where Mollie and Aaron danced their first dance to “La Vie En Rose.” The square three-tiered bride’s cake featured small white flourishes and was decorated with blue hydrangeas. After celebrating with their guests, the couple was showered with rose petals as they left.
The bride is a graduate of Pine Grove Christian Academy and the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is employed by Lafayette General Health. The groom graduated from East Peoria High School and St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana with a degree in Marketing. He is currently the Technical Director for Youth Soccer Association in Lafayette. The couple lives in Lafayette, La.
